The Proud Boys

Subject: The Proud Boys.

The Proud Boys have had their name elevated from the lips of this years  presidential candidates, Biden and Trump who used the Proud Boys and their ideological opposites the left wing groups protesting on the streets in some American cities as point and counterpoint to the way the country is headed. The press depending on which camp they support add to the cacophony of sound and hot air rising from the opposed groups which only divides the nation further.
Each group has that endearing human capacity for the 'sureness' of their cause and any attempt to mediate their ideas and visualise the landscape, not only as black and white but as the creeping incapacity, within society to have a grievance but to keep the grievance in check knowing that generally, common law/justice ameliorates the worst of the wrong doings. Of course it's here that the system has broken down with all sides loosing faith in the system.
The police have proved themselves to be heavy handed in dealing with black people but you could respond that its this cohort that the police see as being the perpratators of most of the violence and crime and their focus is therefore not essentially on the individual but the racial divide that's grown up in the cities where areas have become 'gang related no go areas' and it's the gangs themselves who are racially motivated by the core of their members belonging and the socio strata of that part of town.
The Proud Boys are equally the result of the racial divide, a group who identify with all the opposite claims but which also have one common thread, the poor economic structure in many cities after globalisation ripped the heart out of much of working class America.
The real dissatisfaction of the people should lie towards the fat cats who have prospered from globalisation, the bankers, the equity strippers, the money traders and the City in general. If instead of staring at each other with manufactured hatred across the street in Portland they descended on Wall St and turned their ire on the smart manipulators who care nothing for their fellow countrymen but only in the rise in their personal wealth and those others who live in the gated communities when they return at night having ravaged someone's living both at home and abroad. It's the neoliberal unregulated system of capital markets which have brought billions of dollars to a few but left billions of people impoverished and who, manipulated by media headlines are at each other's throats placing the blame for their plight on people in the next neighbourhood and  not in the high rise metropolitan elite centred on Wall Street.
